About Faire Play Events

Our Origin Story

Faire Play Events was founded in the summer of 2023 with a bold vision: to bring immersive, interactive artistic experiences to the public without the traditional gatekeeping found in theater and drama communities. Born out of a passion for inclusive storytelling, our founders sought to break down barriers and invite everyone into the world of imaginative play.

Our Philosophy

At the heart of Faire Play Events lies a belief that everyone — regardless of background, training, or experience — has an inherent love of play and performance. We see it as our mission to cultivate that joy, not restrict it. As practitioners of the arts, we aim to make theater more accessible, more participatory, and more joyful for all.

What We Do

Our programming centers on interactive experiences that invite audience participation. Whether it’s diving into a character during a live roleplaying game, solving puzzles in an immersive theater environment, or joining in spontaneous improv activities, our events are designed for maximum engagement. There are no auditions, no scripts to memorize — just opportunities to play, imagine, and connect.

Where We Perform

From bustling Renaissance fairs to intimate taverns, Faire Play Events brings interactive entertainment to a wide range of venues. You’ll find us delighting guests at historical festivals, fan conventions, hotel events, and private parties alike.

We also work with bars, inns, and hotels to create custom experiences — from themed game nights to immersive storytelling evenings. Whether it’s a roaming troupe of in-character hosts or a bespoke theatrical game tailored to your audience, we craft each show to fit the occasion and spark delight.

Our Mission

Faire Play Events is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is clear and powerful:

“To educate and entertain the public through the re-enactment, re-creation, and dramatization of historical, mythological, and fictional environments through storytelling, theater, cosplay, and roleplay.”

We are proudly committed to being 100% inclusive — welcoming people of all races, genders, backgrounds, and abilities. Our goal is to help create the Renaissance as it ought to have been: shinier swords, less racism, and absolutely no plague.
